Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 11, 2026

The Wellness App ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Data: When you create an account we store your email address and display name via Firebase Authentication.

Usage Data: We record which sessions you start (meditation, yoga, breathwork, sleep) and their duration to enforce plan limits and show your personal stats. This data is stored in Google Firestore and linked to your anonymous user ID.

Preferences: Your selected preferences (e.g., meditation style, ambient sounds) are stored locally on your device and in Firestore so they sync across sessions.

Subscription Data: Subscription status and purchase history are managed by RevenueCat. We receive entitlement status (active/expired) but do not store your payment card details.

Device Data: We may collect device type, OS version, and app version for crash reporting via Firebase Crashlytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. AI-Generated Content

We use the Claude API (by Anthropic) to generate meditation scripts and the ElevenLabs API for text-to-speech audio. Your selected session parameters (duration, style, goal) are sent to these services to generate content. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests.

4. Third-Party Services

Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated analytics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (TLS), Firebase security rules, and secure token storage on your device.

7. Children's Privacy

The Wellness App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us. If you are in the EU/EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notice or email.
